Study Eligibility

Finding out if the study is right for your child.

Your child may qualify for the PEER study if he/she is:

  • 2-18 years old
  • Has a history of EoE symptoms or has been diagnosed with EoE

During your child's first appointment, the study doctor and nurse will explain details about the study. This is an opportunity to ask questions before you make a decision about study participation. Other available treatment options for your child will also be described for you.

Before joining this study, medical procedures will be performed to see if your child qualifies for the study. These include:
Check-up and physical exam: Height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate
Endoscopy: To examine stomach and esophagus (unless it has been done recently by another doctor)
Blood tests A small sample (about 2 tsp) to check health factors of your child
Urine tests To check health factors of your child
